I recently booked Golden Star Hotel in Dambulla for my Indian guests, and I am extremely satisfied with their service. The hotel is excellent in every aspect — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained rooms that made the stay very pleasant. The staff provided outstanding hospitality and took great care of the guests throughout their stay. A special mention to the manager, who was very friendly, professional, and always ready to help. His support made everything smooth and stress-free. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety and great taste, which my guests really enjoyed. My guests were very happy with the service, food, and overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dambulla, especially for group tours. If you are looking for a place to feel good this is the right one!
How to feel at home! Really nice rooms and clean stra and very comfortable beds. They treated us very well: welcome drink, super good and plentiful breakfast and I was super nice because we went out too late for dinner, everything was closed in the surroundings and they brought us takeaway food to the room. Beautiful experience
Me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel, very welcoming, the people are very kind and super helpful, the rooms have air conditioning (which serves) and are very comfortable, for breakfast we ate really well and lots, sweet fruit or things typical of them. Really nice.

Great stay in the family Villa
We had a wonderful stay at Golden Stars Dambulla! The family villa is very spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully decorated. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and it was clear that a lot of care has gone into making sure guests have everything they need — even portable lights for power cuts, which was a great touch. The communal laundry room was a really nice bonus, especially for a longer stay. The staff were absolutely lovely: friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with bags or anything else we needed. They are currently building a new restaurant, which already looks fantastic, and we wish them every success when it opens. The location is perfect for sightseeing around Dambulla, Habarana, and Sigiriya. We stayed for four nights and truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended!

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious with all necessary facilities, and the food was delicious with good variety. The location is very convenient for visiting Dambulla and nearby attractions. Great Hospitality Great Value Don't Miss it
The Golden Star hotel was recommended to us by our driver. And what a joy it was to arrive and be greeted by the friendly hosts who went out their way to ensure our stay was a happy and comfortable one. Conveniently situated just a short walk from the Golden Temple and near to the Dambulla Caves, the hotel and its rooms met all of our needs and more. Just about 6 months newly built, the rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean, with modern en suite shower and WC. Bedside cabinets have lockable drawers for valuables. WiFi is available and plug sockets handily fit both local and UK accessories. Whilst there is no formal restaurant as yet, (there are plans to open one soon) Thakshila kindly provided us with home cooked truly delicious Sri Lankan food. Excellent accommodation and great value for money. Thakshila and the manager really made us feel at home. A wonderful three days stay. Highly recommended. This is a place you can not afford to miss.
